Our care home package

CARE HOMES

A large focus for us is being able to offer a mobile earwax removal service that specialises in serving care home residents. We understand that the NHS is underfunded, and waiting times for audiology services can be several months. The first step in accessing audiology services is often having earwax removed, so to help bridge this gap, we provide earwax removal at clinic prices, delivered directly within your care homes.

As not everyone is able to attend a clinic, we bring the clinic to you, providing earwax removal in the comfort of your own home.

For care homes, we offer free, no-obligation earwax checks for any residents (families or staff!) while we’re on site. This gives everyone the opportunity to have their ears checked and understand whether treatment may be helpful, without any pressure to go ahead.

If treatment is needed, or someone chooses to proceed following a check, we work with the home to arrange this, allowing time for any necessary preparation such as olive oil application, as well as any discussions with family members or GPs where needed.

The service is delivered within the care home environment, allowing residents to be seen in a familiar and comfortable setting while maintaining the same standard of care as a clinic.

We can offer tailored care home packages designed around your home. Please feel free to call or email if this is something you’d like to explore.

In some care homes, earwax removal is arranged through a partner provider who bring us in to carry out the treatment. See FAQs for more details.

Why our backgrounds are so suited...

Before you head to our About section, here’s what makes us uniquely suited to care homes and their residents.

With many years of clinical experience coming from an ambulance background, we are experienced in handling a wide range of situations. We pride ourselves on helping people feel calm and comfortable, and we’ve got lots of experience working with vulnerable people and those with different health conditions like Parkinson’s, dementia, or mobility issues. We can easily adapt our service to fit whatever the patient needs—whether they’re in bed or sitting in a chair, we’ll make sure they’re comfortable.

An integral part of our role was understanding the needs of patients, particularly being able to safely and comfortably move them with appropriate manual handling techniques – we’ve done a course or two, or ten! We are fully informed and consistently mindful of consent, capacity, and ensuring that we always act in the patient’s best interests.

And for your care team...

We are familiar with how care homes operate, so your staff won’t need to supervise us or follow us around.

We are used to working independently in these environments, however, if it’s your (or a resident's) preference for staff to chaperone, then that’s fine with us too!

We’re not a big faceless organisation where you get different people each time. It’s just the two of us, so you’ll always get the same friendly faces and that continuity of ongoing care.

We’ll get to know your staff and residents, and hopefully, you’ll invite us back so we can keep building those personal connections.
